About Us

Guatemala has produced and exported cardamom for more than 100 years. The countries of its destination are Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bangladesh, India and some countries of Europe (where the Muslim population has been growing).

During these one hundred years, the crop has become increasingly important and has become one of the major export commodities as of 2022 together with sugar cane, bananas, African oil palm and coffee. Guatemala is, today, the largest cardamom exporter of the world, followed by India.
