Guatemalan companies promote product innovation by adding more environmentally-friendly raw materials, and by making recyclable products. They serve national and international demand and can adapt to consumer needs while following the legal requirements of the markets that import our products. The Guatemalan Plastic Products Sector has the ability to custom design flexible packaging, containers, and other products. More than 10,000 products are available for consumers to choose from for their business. Plastic manufacturing contributes approximately 2% of Guatemala's Industrial GDP and it is an industry that continues to strengthen and grow.
Exports in 2022 were 10% higher than in 2021.
Latin America is the sector's top export market.
