enero de 2026, con temperaturas de superficie oce\u00e1nicas (SSTs, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) por debajo del promedio observadas a trav\u00e9s del este central del Pac\u00edfico ecuatorial [Fig. 1]. El valor semanal m\u00e1s reciente del \u00edndice Ni\u00f1o-3.4 fue de -0.9 \u00b0C, mientras que los \u00edndices m\u00e1s al oeste (Ni\u00f1o-4) y m\u00e1s al este (Ni\u00f1o-1+2) fueron -0.4 \u00b0C and 0.0 \u00b0C, respectivamente. [Fig. 2]. El \u00edndice de temperatura en la subsuperficie ecuatorial (promedio desde 180\u00b0-100\u00b0O), aument\u00f3 significativamente [Fig. 3], lo que refleja el fortalecimiento y la expansi\u00f3n de temperaturas subsuperficiales sobre el promedio a trav\u00e9s del oc\u00e9ano Pac\u00edfico [Fig. 4]. Las anomal\u00edas atmosf\u00e9ricas se debilitaron debido a la variabilidad subestacional, pero a\u00fan reflejaron caracter\u00edsticas de La Ni\u00f1a. Anomal\u00edas en los vientos del oeste en niveles bajos sobre el Pac\u00edfico oeste ecuatorial estuvieron presente, y las anomal\u00edas de vientos del oeste en niveles altos continuaron sobre el este central del Pac\u00edfico ecuatorial. Se evidenci\u00f3 convecci\u00f3n suprimida de forma d\u00e9bil cerca de la L\u00ednea Internacional de Cambio de Fecha y sobre el continente mar\u00edtimo ecuatorial, con convecci\u00f3n reforzada ubicada fuera del ecuador [Fig. 5]. Los \u00edndices tradicional y ecuatorial de la Oscilaci\u00f3n del Sur fueron positivos. Colectivamente, el sistema acoplado oc\u00e9ano-atm\u00f3sfera permaneci\u00f3 consistente con La Ni\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: 'Poppins', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif !important;max-width: none !important;width: 100% !important;margin-left: 0 !important;margin-right: 0 !important;text-align: justify;font-size: 14pt;line-height: 1.6;font-weight: 400 !important;color: #111111 !important;opacity: 1 !important\">El promedio del Conjunto Multi-Modelo de Norteam\u00e9rica (NMME), que incluye el modelo NCEP CFSv2 [Fig. 6], favorece el inicio de condiciones ENSO-neutral en el per\u00edodo entre febrero y abril de 2026. El consenso del equipo tambi\u00e9n refleja este resultado, con las condiciones de ENSO-neutral persistiendo durante el verano de 2026 en el Hemisferio Norte. Para finales del verano y m\u00e1s adelante, existe una probabilidad entre 50 y 60 % de que se forme El Ni\u00f1o, aunque la incertidumbre de los modelos sigue siendo considerable y los pron\u00f3sticos realizados en esta \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o tienden a tener menor precisi\u00f3n. En resumen, se espera una transici\u00f3n de La Ni\u00f1a a ENSO-neutral entre febrero y abril de 2026 (60 % de probabilidad), con condiciones ENSO-neutral probablemente persistiendo durante el verano del Hemisferio Norte (56 % de probabilidad para junio y agosto de 2026; [Fig. 7]).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: 'Poppins', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif !important;max-width: none !important;width: 100% !important;margin-left: 0 !important;margin-right: 0 !important;text-align: justify;font-size: 14pt;line-height: 1.6;font-weight: 400 !important;color: #111111 !important;opacity: 1 !important\">Esta discusi\u00f3n es un esfuerzo consolidado de la Administraci\u00f3n Nacional Oce\u00e1nica y Atmosf\u00e9rica (NOAA, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), el Servicio Nacional de Meteorolog\u00eda de NOAA y sus instituciones financiadas.
